Instructions for use

HerbaChaud® natural heating patches are physically acting, odourless heating patches, which emit deep penetrating warmth (40°C) for up to 12 hours. The long-lasting warmth promotes blood circulation in muscles and joints.

Application

  • Muscle and joint pain due to muscle tension, osteoarthritis, overexertion, strains, sprains

 

  • Back pain/sacroiliac pain

  • Tension in the neck and shoulders

  • Menstrual cramps

  • The patch can also be fixed on the sides with medical adhesive tape.

 

  • The patch will heat up after 30 minutes and stay warm for up to 12 hours. To ensure that enough oxygen passes through the back of the patch, do not obstruct the air supply with tight clothing.  

 

  • This product is for single use only!

How to use

  • The product is activated by contact with oxygen in the air. Only open immediately before use. HerbaChaud® is applied directly on the skin and can be worn under clothing. Apply the patch to the affected area. 

 

  • First, make sure the skin is clean and dry.  ​Open the foil packaging, then remove the two protective films and apply the patch to the affected area, adhesive side down. If your skin is sensitive, apply the patch instead with the adhesive facing the inside of your undergarment.

  • The patch can also be fixed on the sides with medical adhesive tape.

Contraindications

  • Do not use on face, chest, inner arms, armpits, fingers, toes, injured skin, bruises or swellings.

 

  • Do not use on open wounds, near mucous membranes, the eyes or in the bend of the knee.

 

  • Do not use in combination with other dermatics, heat sources or heat lotions/ointments.

  • For people over 55 years of age: The risk of burns increases with age. When applying the heat patch to the lower back or hips, the patch should be worn over a layer of clothing and not directly on the skin. When applying over the knee, the heat patch should be worn over a thin cloth, such as a washcloth, and not applied directly to the skin.  Do not wear it while sleeping.

  • For people over 55 years of age: The risk of burns increases with age.   • Do not heat in a microwave or try to heat the patch a second time.

  • Adults who can remove the patch themselves.

 

  • In the case of pregnancy, diabetes mellitus, weak circulation, rheumatoid arthritis, nerve damage, skin disease or allergy to patch adhesives, a doctor should be consulted.

  • Every person and their skin reacts differently to heat. All heat patches can cause skin irritation, burns or blisters. Check the applied skin area regularly for such changes. Remove the product immediately if you experience skin irritation or the patch becomes uncomfortably hot.

Precautions

  • If the contents meet skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water and consult a doctor.

  • Do not use on the same area for more than 12 hours in a 24-hour period.

 

  • If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor.

  • If the patch is used to relieve menstrual cramps, it is recommended that the patch be applied just above the pubic hairline. On sensitive skin areas such as the belly button, the patch can be stuck to the outside of your underwear, for example.

  • Do not apply pressure to the patch for long periods of time. This can be caused by wearing a belt or a tight waistband, for example. Pressure on the patch can cause irritation.

  • Do not use after drinking alcohol.

  • Dispose of in household waste after use.

  • Do not cut, massage, fold or moisten the patch.

  • Do not use it if the patch has been damaged.
